We usually have relatively quiet holiday weekends on the
island. Today is no exception – Bank Holiday Monday and we have deserted roads
and deserted beaches accompanied only by the sound of the breeze and the call
of a few oystercatchers and gulls. We really do appreciate the wide open spaces
we have here – and the absence of an imposed sound-track of drum and bass. I
visited the beach at Balinoe today – and found two figures walking slowly along
the sand – enjoying a quiet stroll and experiencing the true meaning of
recreation.
Looks tropical!
